Welcome to my website. Although this is not a massive website it plans
to showcase the skills I have as well as the work I have been doing, both on a
professional capacity as well as acedemic and chartiable.
I have been in professional IT work since I graduated from the University of
Sunderland in July 2000. In 2009 I started an MSc in Computer Science at
Wolverhampton University, partially to extend my skills both professioanlly as
well as acedemically.
My main areas of study and work so far have been involved in .NET development on
a Windows platform. I have in the passed thought and looked into the
Mono Project
for it's cross
development ability. And it does offer some great advantages of getting
some .NET applications onto another platform. In some respects I really
like the .NET platform, a common library of code for everyone and the same
across all languages. Of course a great advantage to this would be
the porting of theis .NET library to other platforms. However to this date
only mono is in existence.
Other than that I have focused on SQL Server platforms and have worked on
databases as large as 30TB in size. Although in some respects with home
computers having 1TB internal harddrives, this does not sound like masses of
space. At the time it was huge (2004-2008).
My main areas of expertise are in the Microsoft genre and this website will
discuss some previous projects. If

Throughout my career I have been lucky enough to ork on some fantastic projects,
for example CJAMS an
interactive congestion map derived from GPS data. Also more recently I
have been doing som software development for
Bridgnorth Music & Arts Festival
which includes the
Bluttooth proximity advertising application.
